Q: i have a hifonics brutus third gen. 1606D amplifier it has a phase adjustment on it to 180 degrees what does this mean

A: humm i never use that cuz well i have never put subs in my kick panels. i also thought it was for inverting the subs. i could be wrong tho. just my .02

What a coincidence!! I just bought the 1606D and installed it. Phase is a setting like for the position of the speakers in the vehicle. If they are behind you, like in a trunk, leave it at 0d. If they are subs in your front kick panels, for example, you would turn phase to 180d. Phase is kind of the timing of when the sub hits in order for the driver of the car to hear it hit perfect with the music.

i am installing 2 amps to my truck i have a basic idea of what im doing, but a wiring diagram would really help me out alot. anyone know where to find one?


A: No but its very straight forward.

Get youself some thick (maybe 4 gauge)wire run it from your battery + to where you are going to install your amps (but do not hook up till your done).

Then grab yourself a spliter box (these are availble from any stereo or most car acceries shops). This is used to "split" the thick cable to 2 or more smaller cables. I would be using 8 guage for this.

Now once you have put the splitter in you will have 2...
