Comparison between starsound targa and JBL Car Audio Amps?

Q: I want to buy the best Sub between these three type of car audio Subs. 3000w JBL or 3000w starsound or 3000w targa subwoofer. Plz advice me as to which one is the best
which one is the best Subwoofer between these- 3000w JBL, 3000w starsound or 3000w targa subwoofer and why.

A: No comparison. Go with the JBL's.
Why?...Targa and Starsound are both cheap generic brands. JBL has been in the Pro audio business for decades and know what they're doing and are built with quality standards in mind.

my friend just bought a 2009 toyota highlander. the factory system for that car is jbl. he say that car jbl audio system is better than the bose one. what do you guy think? is he right? or is he just bragging?

A: It's really impossible to say. Toyota's premium sound system is JBL. Bose systems are used in lots and lots of different cars, including GM, Honda, Nissan, Audi, and lots of others. The design of the Bose audio systems is wildly different among all these different cars. So maybe the JBL system in his Highlander is better than the Bose systems in some cars, but not as good as the Bose system in others. Really, how do you compare them?

I have front components(tweeter and woofer) and cross over, the rms is 70 watts, and the max is 210, the impedence is 4 ohms, and my rear speakers are 2 ohms, how can the amplifer(4 channell) power two sets that have different impedence, 2 v. 4 ohms?


A: it will power them the same but the 4ohm speakers will be getting half the wattage of the 2ohm speakers

ok i got a guy who will sell me 2, 12" jbl gto subs 500 wats ea. a sony explod head unit 620ip , a 1000 watt jbl amp, sub box and instalation for 600 bucks, includes wireing harnes wire all that.

is it worth it?
note: i listen to both rock and rap, mostly rap in the car because i like the bass :D

A: the price is good, what concerns me is the "i got a guy" see half of a car audio systems sound is achieved at installation. a poor installation will result in poor sound. as for the JBL subs, they are decent, but a 15" would be better for rap, even if you only get a single one. it would simply hit lower. the amp is a great amp, very nice indeed. for the sub box be sure it is the proper size or it is worthless. also for that amount of power i would not go any less than a...
