Bass guitar accessories help?

Q: Ok, I have bought my first bass guitar and I have an amp, cable, bag, and strap. I play in a rock band, mostly alternative and metal.
What exactly are pedals and would I need them for the kind of sound I'm trying to achieve? Recommend me a brand?

A: Well you would definitely want a tone which has pretty good gain, for that you could get yourself a bass distortion pedal. BOSS is makes pedals like tanks and they last forever on the road with killer tones.

Be warned that too much gain can get pretty fuzzy though. It depends on what type your bass is. If it has active pickups, you would get less feedback. Active pickups are good for playing heavy metal, especially if your're playing really heavy stuff like Death or Black...

can tou tell me what brand i should get and what model type it is.
i need an amp. , a lead, soft case, a strap, and pick tell me the brand and model type for the accessories too.
And 310 USD is my budget.

like will a guitar amp work for a bass? and like i know tuners are different but is there anything else that I can use from my guitar for a bass?


A: I do know for a fact that a bass can easily blow up a guitar amp. I know 2 people who had that happen. So I'd suggest getting a bass amp, definitely.
