I'm planning to boast up my Home Theaters speaker, so I'd decided to buy a Sony amplifier. If I connect the speakers of my Home Theater to the amplifier, will that damage the speaker? Do I need to buy speakers for the amplifier?

A: It all depends on what equipment you are talking about.

If you have a cheap box system - the parts are NOT always designed to let you swap parts in and out. Some of cheap speakers will destroy a amp because they were only designed to work with the receiver/dvd player combo that came with the set.

You dont want to buy an 'amp' but you want to buy a home theater receiver.

I have a 2008 VW golf GT with the standard 8 speakers package and i am planning to put a car pc. I will remove the oem Head Unit and put a 7" inch lcd monitor. I will need an amplifier to connect the speakers to it and then the amplifier to the carpc. My question is what type of amplifier i will need? I will have to buy 2 4-channel amplifiers?

For a "carputer" the idea is to have a "non-hard drive" based computer that runs stand alone Windows XP/Vista from a Bootable USB drive that runs the music player of your choice using plugins.

Your MP3's are stored on another USB drive that can be removed for editing.

This all ties into your sound system (amps, subs/speakers).

No hard drive means nothing will crash. A touch screen...

A: It depends on what type of infinity subs! By far the best infinity subwoofers is the (Infinity kappa perfect 12.1D) now if you are going to get them or allready have them the greatest amp to go with that is the (MTX 81000D mono amp or the MTX 5101D mono amp) they are the same exact amp just the 5101D version is the 2008 model! This system would kick so much ass it is unbelievble! The subwoofers would go around 100$ to 180$ while the amp goes around 280$ to 360$ all depending on where you buy...
