about 2 months ago i purchased the boss equalizer GE-7 and i absolutely loved it. It produced such a powerful sound with my boss metal zone pedal. Now, all of a sudden, it does not have the same sound. it really sounds muffed when i use the pedal now, like when i play the lows or do triplets. I have used the settings that the the pedal instructions have given me, and have also messed around with the settings to try to figure it out, but nothing worked. Change the battery.

Failing that, get a power adapter. Interestingly enough, some pedals sound better with batteries vs adapters, it depends on how good the power filter circuit is.

If you've changed anything else in your signal chain (new cables, new guitar, new amp, other pedals) then check those out, too... play with the GE-7 in the signal chain, take it out, see if it sounds different with it off but still in the signal chain vs out, etc.

how long does it last? how would you set the bands for a violin? what kind of amp goes with it? are there any better ones for a better deal?
