How do I find the cons of using patrol car video surveillance?

Q: This is for a school assignment in which I am to argue against the use of stun guns and patrol car video surveillance and i am having trouble with finding info on patrol car video surveillance. Please help!!!

A: The only thing I can think of is that the video surveillance can give the impression that we're seeing everything exactly as it happened, when in reality it's usually hard to see exactly what's happening on one of those videos, because they are somewhat low quality and have set focal ranges.

Also, police officers could feel they are not trusted, because in reality the cameras are there to watch the police as much as they are to watch the criminals.

Where can I get a small screen with video-in for my car?

I'm looking for a small 3.5x3 or 3.5x3.5 screen that has the ability for video in. I have a small console in my car and I'd like to mount it inside of the back of it. I was looking at digital photo frames, but I can't find one that has video-in. I know there are other solutions for car video, but this is specifically what I'm looking for. Anyone?


A: i got the perfect screen. Check out the xbox game pad controller. It is like 3 years old and was pretty much an xbox controller with a 3.5'' screen on it. It was supposed to be able to make the xbox more portable. Originally it sold for $30-40 - but used and at this point it is probably real cheap. You can hack into it and just remove the screen - and solder in straight up rca jacks. It even has little speakers.

How hard would it be to hook up a car video monitor plus a sega genisis in my car?

I want to mount a flip down monitor to the ceiling plus hook up a dvd player and sega genisis, i have a pioneer head unit and will soon be adding 2 kicker subs plus kicker amp and also replacing the speakers in the front doors and back of the car. I was wondering what problems i might face in doing this. Thanks


A: Sparky's right... It shouldn't be a problem, at all.

Considering getting one of the second-generation Sega Genesis/Megadrives. They're a little smaller, consume a little less power, and have better quality components that are less likely to overheat (some capacitors may even explode) in a hot car on a sunny day.

Something else you might try is getting a GP2X handheld (see the link below). There are lots of 8-bit and 16-bit game console emulators...
