What kind of in dash navigation system works best with zune?

Q: I want to buy a in dash navigation system that will work well with my zune. All the ones I have looked at seem to be Ipod specific. What is the best way about getting my zune to work through an after market nav unit?

A: The aftermarkets decks tend to be more geared to the general mp3 player or the ipod. As far as controlling it through the unit...not likely. It is best just to set it up through the connection unit then purchase yourself the zune car kit which should have a remote control to control your zune.

Unfortunately, I've yet to come across any manufacturer's who are allowing complete Zune integration with an aftermarket deck. The only option is using an auxiliary off of a deck. Soundgate has developed an option where you can hard wire a Zune cable so you can charge it while driving, but that's the best that's really out there currently.

I have non navigation,non DSP,non Bluetooth BMW x5 3.0i 2002. I want to get in dash navigation for it,which plays MP3 files and still supports steering wheel controls and has bluetooth connectivity and ofcourse GPS itself :-) Any suggestions? (I want it look as close as possible to stock,but have much more options,and to have touchscreen and have very bright colorful screen).


A: Ok what can I tell you. I have BMW x5 4.4 2002 so I know what I am talking about. First broblem you are going to have is doble din dash kit some person is selling it for $470 each on ebay. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can find doble dash kit cheaper I would say between $150-$250 but still it is going to look bad. I changed my speakers through out my car put couple of subwoofers and install two head rest dvds. trust me is it gooooooood. Good Luck.

I'm looking for like a list of parts. I don't know much about cars, but i'm planning to buy an in-dash navigation system off ebay and i don't wanna buy something that doesn't come with all the parts. help please! it should also be connected to the audio, if that's something that you need to know..


A: What ever one U get I wouldn't make it a GPSMAP276C by GARMIN because I've been calling & Emailing Garmin 4 over a month now to get mine fixed & I still have a $1000.00 PAPERWEIGHT !!!

2002 toyota highlander limited, i want an in-dash because with a double-din, it will block my controls for temperature. Ipod interface/aux jack will be even better with it :). Help is greatly appreciated!
