Q: The sub I listed is not a final decision, but it's what I will probably get. It's a Kenwood - 12" 4-Ohm Single-Voice-Coil Subwoofer with a max of 1200 watts.

would the kenwood kac-8104d mono amplifier be good or not


A: That amp is no good for your subs. They'd be highly underpowered.

My Kenwood Subwoofer KFC-W3011 randomly rumbles when its hooked up?

I just bought a sub for my car and when its hooked it just radomly rumbles. I dont know what is wrong with it. Any advice would be much appreciated.


A: you are hearing distortion, which could be caused by the amp itself, or more likely a problem in you rca cables. ma also be caused by lose power or ground connetion to amp. checl all connections, and make sure rca's are not kinked or damaged. also check that remote wire is not in contact with power or ground wire, as this can also cause such "rumbling". as, can your wires running to the speaker itself. if those are touching anything, especially each other, or the amp body.

Does anyone have or has heard a Kenwood Excelon Subwoofer?

I am considering buying some but none of the stores in my area carry the excelon line. I am mainly interested in the 12 in 4ohm dvc subs. Any thaughts on the brand or others are welcome.
