Q: i just need to know if this combination would work and what else would i need?

and idk what kind of amp i need so picked this one out

A: that is a GREAT setup, although i would go with cvx's, not l7's. round subs have more efficient sound waves. anyways, lanzar vibe is the amp i have, and i think that it is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is all well worth it. hope i helped.

Why do I keep blowing my subs?

I have a Lanzar 4000 watt MXA 282 amp, and I've had 6 subs blow on me and the last two I had professionaly installed. Here is a link for the amp I have.

A: I know this amps power is way overated but your still giving your subs way to much power.

Your amp is rated for:
2 x 2000W MAX at 4 OHMS
2 x 1000W RMS at 4 OHMS
But your subs are only rated for:
800 watts MAX at 4 OHMS
400 watts RMS at 4 OHMS

I suggest buying some more powerful subs or turning down your gain.

would this amp push alpine type r's good?

A: Lanzar is a cheap brand.. If you want a budget amp id recomend a profile ap2000, its rated at 480 rms x 2 @ 2 ohms i believe, and 900 some bridged at 4 ohm, (not 2 ohm stable in bridged mode) But im not sure how much power the profile really puts out, but it has to be way better than a lanzar amp.

which of these amps are best for 2 12 type r's?

A: You need to get a mono amp that is close to 1000rms at the right load.Sorry, not to be rude but none of those amps are going to drive those subs at their full potential. Get a amp that is cea-compliant that state the real wattage.
