Q: pioneer interior speakers... i only have about another $200 left.. wha kind of 2nd amp should i get for the subs becuz i doubt the 1000w lanzar will push all 3... any suggestions.. please help

(Make sure your alternator can handle powering this huge load. 2000 watts = 166 amps + car systems so you'll need about 200 at least, my stock is 85)

Look into Crunch amps, they are CEA-2006 compliant. They make sub amps that will push all 3 of those subs they make a 1500.1 that is in your price range.

I have a Lanzar vibe 241 200rms per channel amp for bass with two 12" mtx speakers rated at 200rms per speaker in a sealed home made box but yet still i do not get the deep heavy bass i want. My system is made up of a pioneer am/fm tuner cd player, a pioneer equalizer with crossover and sub output and a lanzar crossover. My mids and tweeters are on a separate amp rated at 750 watts total..75rms per channel. The bass amp has a 1 furad capacitor on the power wire which is 8 guage. The...


A: first thing is first, get a better amp. the lanzar is one of the cheapest and crappiest amplifiers on the market. go with an american made product or a class d amp with at least 800 - + power rating RMS POWER rating on it and the brand does matter but not right now. your still in the begginer phase and will learn the tricks of the trade if you want to. don't blow the subs when you get the new amp but the subs may need replaced after long and upgraded to the higher models of mtx. i run one...

are these speakers http://www.lanzar.com/itempage.asp?model=OPTI64 any good? i am planning on buying 2 kicker s15l7's and tweeters also so i should be capable of covering all frequencies.


A: If you want my real opinion you are poisoning Kicker's name by putting it in the same sentence as Lanzar. There are better alternatives . Lanzar makes excellent paper wieghts though.

A: the lanzar opti drive equipment is completely separate from the rest of lanzar .The opti64 works very well but i would highly recommend some kind of enclosure around them like a kick panel pod .
plus they need quite a bit of power @ 4ohm to run properly

and on a side note lanzar opti drive is cea complaint
