Hi, I just bought a Hifonics XX-Zeus Mono D-Class 1600watt/RMS amplifier. I currently have 2 Rockford Fosgate 4ohm 250/400 Peak RMS Subwoofers Boxed. I was wondering what would be the best way to wire this amplifier to these subs until i get my new 3000watt subwoofers? Please be descriptive with your answers, i don't know most technical audio terms in car audio heh. Thanks.

A: since the subs cant handle as much power as the amp puts out you would probably want to wire the subs to 8 ohm you do that by

1.hooking up the - of 1 sub to the + of the other sub
2.then hook up the + of 1 sub up to the + of the amp
3.hook up the - of the other sub to the - of the amp

that should get you just enough power to push your subs without blowing them

i have a kenwood 1000 watt mono amp and 2 kenwood 1200 watt subwoofers. and an 8 awg amplifier installation kitt. and a box.

is it possible to hook up the amp to these 2 subwoofers with what i have? do i need additional stuff. if so how do i do it?

I cant find a good amplifer for my pionner sub woofers.
They are 1000 Watt Peak, and 400 RMS.

Please help on a good mono block amplifier that has a reasonable price.
