15w fubar power acoustik car subwoofer, what amp and box?

i am getting a power acoustik fubar series sub, it has 1000 watts RMS and 2000 wat max. i am wondering whether i need a ported box or not, and what amp would be good for this sub, thanks


A: with that many watts, DON'T port it. you will blow it. as for an amp, find out how you're going to be wiring it and what the ohm load will be how you have it wired, and then from there its just a matter of getting whatever you can afford without going over the rms and max watts. stick with bigger names too, alpine watts are more true than jensen amps, etc.

A: It will. You can push up to 1500 into that beast, and the amp will go as low as 2 ohms, so a 4 won't be a problem.
