OK so 2 months ago I think I made a huge mistake. I wanted to have a nice system for my car, and found myself at a car audio shop asking questions. The people said MTX makes very good subs and they'd be a better choice than alpine. They also said Memphis makes very good amps, and that the subzone box would give me the best base.

A: Actually, no one "has" to work out anything with you. Another thing, "breaking in" subs is bogus. If the shop that you purchased your equipment from values you as a customer then they will work something out with you so long as the damage to the sub doesn't look like it was intentional. They should have given you something stating there warranty policy when you purchased your stuff. If they didn't then, they can just tell you to take your stuff elsewhere and them...
