What you will need are Screen and lens protectors/cleaners, A carrying case, Memory sticks, Definately batteries, a carrying strap, and of course a protection plan!

All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on.......

The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual...

Well this really depends on what you want to do with the camera but memory is a definite 'yes'.

Nowadays a 2GB card is recommended especially if you''re buying a camera with more than 5MegaPixels (note that more megapixels is not necessarily better).

Flash memory is dependend on the camera, so no it won't work with any camera's so check what this camera needs before buying. You might get a deal if you buy memory at the same time with the...
