Have you ever used a compatible graphics tablet to edit audio in audio editing softwares?

Q: Audio editing softwares like Audition, Soundbooth CS3, WavePad(?) etc.

A: I use my tablet for a lot of things including, at the most basic, as a mouse pointer. There is little advantage of using a tablet's pen and pad for audio editing that you would not get from using a straight up mouse.

Would a Tablet PC be good for video editing?

What are the upsides and downsides of editing with Avid or Adobe Premier on a Tablet PC? Overall, would you use ANY Tablet PC for video editing?


A: Probably not. For one reason: They usually have rather weak integrated video cards. Those are slow and do not perform well under demanding tasks such as video editing.

Better than a mouse i mean. Are they really worth the investment??


A: I own a tablet PC.

My patterns of use for the stylus have changed quite a bit over the last 5 years that I have owned it.

I now usually use the stylus almost exclusively for working on layer masks.

In photoshop, I edit most of my stuff using batches, but when I need to do a bit more involved work on a pic, I use layer masks on 95% of those pics.
