Will my nikon lens work with a kenko pro 1.4 teleconverter?

Q: I have a Nikon D50 and a 70 - 300 lens and am thinking of buying a Kenko Pro 1.4 x multiplier, will I still be able to use the autofocus and exposure features on my camera while using the teleconverter?

A: That depends on the specific lens and the specific teleconverter. Best bet is to go to the Kenko site and see what Nikon lens will fit. Even though the teleconverter will physically fit the lens does not mean it will work. Generally, most of the newer nikon lens will fit on the Kenko or Tamron teleconverters.

But, you can actually damage a lens by trying to connect it with an adapter not meant for it. If you look at the end of your lens, you will see little pins. Those...

That depends on the lens. If it is a prosumer lens then no. An f/stop of 6.3 or better is generally required to allow enough light for autofocus to work. Which means if the lens is slower than 4.5 it won't AF with the 1.4x converter.

That is a huge lens and I'm just wondering from camera people from all over Yahoo if this lens is any good? I know it's a manual focus lens only but if your able to focus it properly then what kind of quality are you getting out of your pictures? It's dirt cheap on Ebay. I'm not saying I am going to go out and buy it but I sure would like to hear some feedback on this lens.

That should tell you the quality to expect. IMO you'd be wasting your money.

A: I would have to say ....No.
That old expression "you get what you pay for" rings true. It is the lens on your camera that takes the picture, not the camera. I would have to say that the images would not be sharp in focus and that the images would be "flat" or lacking in contrast.

Along with deco items I ordered a Kenko cell phone lens charm. Heart lens & green Lens!


The heart lens is a really soft heart so it’s more like pink soft focus lens. The green lens though is a bit creepy! Like night vision Haahaahaa!! Mike refers to it as a Most Haunted or ghost lens (what else is night vision even used for these days besides ghost hunting!!?? (haaha, just kidding of course!) I wanted to get one of these because I thought it might be fun. It’s not like there’s photoshop on my phone to edit any of the photos with cute borders and such. I bought one of the charm buttons that I’m adding onto my new deco’ed cover (still work in progress) so soon it’ll be with me all the time.




I got the pink sneakers today.
I don’t hardly ever wear sneakers but I kept seeing them in Popteen. If I don’t want to wear heels I currently only really have flip flops as an alternative to any NON-sock needing shoe. I ADORE flip flops, but sometimes that’s toooo casual.
