I would like to know which lens would best suit my Sony Alpha 350. My budget for the lens would be 100pounds. I am so confused because there are lots of lenses like minolta, sigma and sony lenses. I am so confused,,,,,

A: It depends on what you are shooting and what your budget is. For general all around use the kit lens would be best. It is usually an 18-55mm lens. A lot of people are getting an 18-200mm zoom. It covers a very good focal range and is suited for most situations.

For landscapes a wide angle lens in the 10-24mm range.
For sports a telephoto lens in the 50-300 range.
For portraits a prime lens like a 50mm F1.4
For macro or closeup work a 100mm F2.8 macro or...

there is a large white piece of dust between the inside of the outer and the outside of the inner lenses (between the base and zoom lenses) on my sony handycam dcr-trv280. how do i clean the thing out? how can i acces it?

The protective glass of my 18-70mm lens for sony a200 has been smashed. I was wondering how much and how long it would take to replace? And also i would like to get a new lens but am not really sure what type of lens i should get, could you suggest any which will be good and not too expensive?

A: You can pick up the Sony 18-70mm kit lens off eBay quite cheaply, they are usually in excellent/new condition. Don't spend too much on a repair of your lens without comparing the replacement price against eBay.

You may wish to look at the Tamron 70-300mm as an additional lens, it is cheap and pretty good up to 250mm then like most budget zooms it gets a little soft past 250mm. No big deal though, you might not even notice it.
