i am only wanting to spend around 600$ give or take. (prefer not to spend this much, but know i will have to)
i am wanting one for astrophotograpy. i have a rebel xti camera.
i know i will need a t adaptor. does it matter what kind? how do they fit?
as for the telescope i would like to see constellations, rings around saturn, craters, and such.
i would like one that has a sky tracker on it, one that will move to where i want it to go. one that is easy to use.
A: I will tell you that collecting antique photons is a hard business. Expensive too. $600 bucks won't do it. You need a very stable equatorial mount that is computer controlled. You need large setting circles or digital setting circles to find your targets. Finally, you need a four inch ED refractor or 6 inch or larger reflector. "Goto" is really pretty inexpensive, but stable is expensive.

I am about to buy a Meade LX90 ACF 8" telescope and while I'm at it I am looking for accessories that will make my experience with the scope even better. What eyepieces should I get? Also I was looking at better diagonals and I see that there's two types dielectric and quartz which is better? Theres barlows too but what to get 2x, 3x, or 5x?

Any other accessories that are important?

A: Whoa, dude! First, how much observing have you done? An inexperienced user will not see difference between a standard Meade diagonal and a particularly high-quality one, unless it's pointed out to them. Let's hear your history first.

EDIT: Right. For a start, hold on to your wide-field refractor. When next northern summer/southern winter comes, and you have more experience, you'll love looking at the star fields of the Sagittarius (and thereabouts) Milky Way.
