What has been your favorite tripod for time lapses?

Q: I am looking for a set of tripod legs that are sturdy enough hold a Nikon D80 and a 70-300mm lens for under $200. The head doesn't have to be included because I can buy it after.

A: Any Manfrotto tripod, at the recent Focus on Image seminar two of my friends bought a Manfrotto 190XPRO plus a 488-RC2 ball head for £122.00, that's the only tripod they will ever need to buy. Buy quality - buy once.

the plastic lever on my tripod leg is broken where can i buy another one?

A: You could try contacting the manufacturer, but it is unlikely that you will get one. What I did was remove the INNER part (smaller part) of the leg and drill a series of small holes about 1 inch apart down the length of the leg and one hole in the OUTER (larger) part of the leg. I then used a pin (nail) with a loop of string tied to it to adjust the leg. Crude, but it works.

Where can I find some garden sprinklers, the ones with tripod legs that stand above the plants ?

Written by Hillabee Creek Redneck | Monday, January 14, 2008

I have a large garden and need to water often. We are in the grip of the worst drought on record.
My pump works at 55 psi and has 200 gal per min output , I think it can handle 6 sprinklers at once.

A: try ACE hardware..

Where can I get rubber feet for my tripod legs?

Written by Liam | Saturday, November 08, 2008

I lost one, and now it's just the bare metal. Can anybody suggest where I might find replacements?

A: Dear Liam,

Since I am in the US I would go to a Hardware Store but I am not sure what the equivalent store would be in the UK. Take your Tripod with you or one of the remaining rubber feet so that you can match it up.

Later my Friend!
