how long ago did RCA make the VHS-c camcorder is this type abosolete are the recording accessories still sold?

Q: I'm looking to buy a RCA cc6372 camcorder VHS-C and need all the information i can get on it any help will be greatly appreciated.

A: We purchased one in the early 80s so I believe they came out about then.. Big and very heavy and you use the big VHS casette in them.. I gave it to my now ex when we separated in 98' cause it didn't work anymore.. I have my Dad's big Sharp which was made in the same time frame.. It still works.. Amazing! I'm pretty sure you can find some reconditioned ones for sale on e-bay or maybe on some internet site, and parts too. Try checking into that.. Not sure tho, why you want to...

How do I tranfer vhs-c camcorder tapes?

Does anyone know how to transfer my camcorder tapes of home movies to the internet so I can put them up on youtube? I have an adapter and a VHS-C Camcorder and I just want to transfer my home movies or any movie I made to the computer then put it up on youtube. Does anyone know how to do that or done that before?


A: VHS-C (and VHS, Beta, Hi8 and other analog video types) require an "analog/digital bridge" like those from Pinnacle (Dazzle) or Canopus.

The analog video/audio source connects to the A/D bridge; the A/D bridge connects to the computer (using USB or firewire).

I used to use an external Dazzle Hollywood box, but now use the AV-in feature of one of my digital camcorders (most digital camcorders do not have this feature - read through the manual or camcorder feature...

I am trying to transfer my vhs-c tapes to something more permanent and was wondering how to get them onto a dvd. I see the vcr/dvd recorders at wal-mart and was wondering if I could do it with one of them?


A: Yes indeed you could do it that way if all you want is a straight copy of your video on a DVD - your camcorder should have a number of RCA sockets for video output - a yellow one for the video and a white one for the sound - if your camcorder has a stereo mic. you will also have a red one for the second sound channel
