Q: I played piano over 8 years, i played flute for 4 years and i have a guitar, but im not good at. Now im interested in drums but i dont know anything about them... is there any way to play drum without that the neighbors kick me out because im laud? :)

A: Start off on a small electric drum machine with headphones. If you like it, you can buy an electric kit. The neighbors will never hear a thing. My son plays drums on a regular kit, we hear him but the neighbors really don't, he's in the basement. We don't mind cause he's amazing!!

Absolutely. You can practice all your rudiments on a drum pad... its a practice pad that is very quiet. If you want to practice on a real drum there are special sticks (made for playing with quieter instruments or singers) that muffle the sound of the drum. You can also put blankets in your bass drum to muffle the sound.

Lynchburg Cornet Band drum

I have a drum set I am planning on selling but I am not sure how to list the sizes. Is it diameter across the face of the drum or the depth of the drum that is the "size"?


A: it is the diameter across the head of the drum, thats how you know what size heads to buy. the depth just means its either deep shell or not.

Why is the drum on my washer tilting to the back left of the outside housing?

Ethiopia, Lalibela,

I wen't to go get the laundry out of the washing machine today and noticed that the drum was way to the back of the machine. I can not get the drum to sit straight. I have tried to pull it back into place but it will not go back. It still works fine, spins makes no noises, realy cleans the cloths just as well. Its just you can see the outside of the drum. How do I fix this?

green drum

The green drum head and the rest has tons of cat hair on it and it won't come off and the only drum head that won't work is the green unless you are in game play. Why does the green drum head not work?


A: To get rid of the cat hair I would try using a lint roller. I use it to get lint and dust off my drum set and it works fine.
