What is the difference between an electric guitar and a bass guitar?
i heard that bass guitars can be electric too but they are different. How are they different. Are they in the same category despite being different? Whats the difference between an "electric guitar" and an "electric 'base' guitar"? Please explain, than you in advance.

"classic"
Acoustic guitar is better.
No, just a few lessons in folk style guitar is generally all it takes to get started.
Women can start directly on electric. i teach all my students on electric because of the ease of playing and the fact that ladies have less strengthinthe fingers. Classical guitar has a harder action even though they use nylon strings.
Its up to you andhow you feel about acoustic or electric guitar.
If you know that you will be able to continue playing guitar for quite a few more years go with an electric. but if you think that playing guitar will not hold your interest, I would suggest buying an acoustic. I started on a classical guitar but i bought an electric a week later=)
