Denon Component Receiver
Q: I have a Denon AVR 1909 receiver with component out to a projector. All of the component in spaces are occupied and work correctly. I added an apple tv using the HDMI in, but I get no signal or sound on the projector when I switch to the designated apple tv input. Can the Denon output to Component an HDMI input? If so, how? Thanks.
A: HDMI will not "downconvert" to anything else so you will not see it over component. Most newer receivers will "upconvert" all analog connections (like component) to HDMI so that you can just run one HDMI cable to your display.

Most likeley, your HDMI input on the Denon is pass-through only and can't convert from HDMI to component.
