How to replace drive belt on Denon DP-297 Turntable?

Q: I have Denon turntable, about 8 years old. I have the belt, but in the process of moving, it has come off. None of the docs I can find actually picture the belt on the turntable, so I'm trying to find the proper way to install it. Anyone have a working one that can tell me where the belt loops? Thanks

A: First, remove the platter. On the bottom of the platter you should find what appears to be a decorative ridge or rim. It may even have a black stain from the belt.
Put the belt onto this rim.
Next, pull the belt away from the platter enough so that you can see it from the top of the platter. From the top of the platter, stick your finger into the loop you have created and keep the belt stretched enough to be visible from above.
Don't pull it much farther than that or...

I wish I could help you more but without getting too technical here goes. The belt goes underneath the the platter and probably goes around the platter to a gear or a drive that makes the platter rotate or spin. It should not be too difficult to install.

Well, you should have two pulleys, one for the drive motor (the
small one), and one for the record plate (the large one). Other
than that, you will have to go to a local stereo repair shop for
the necessary assistance, or you could contact this place...
