How do I hook up my (2) subwoofer enclosures of 2 12's each and amp to JVC cd player?

Q: I am getting (2) seperate 2 12's and a 1200 watt, how do I hook all of this up to the JVC cd player? Also if I am hooking up 2 seperate subwoofer enclosures and a cd palyer, do i only need a 2 channel amp or what? THANKS

A: sense you already have it all only things is wiring it.

from your stereo you will need to hook up and RCA output cord connecting to your amp and a ignition line going to your amp.

to power your amp you will need to hook up a 4 or 8 gauge power wire from your battery to the power connection then you will need the same gauge wire connecting to the chassis of your car to ground it,

now to power the subs from your amp hook up 12 gauge wires to the...

Its for my satelite radio, but when i try to put it on 88.1(not a station) it skips by and cant figure out how to stop it.


A: Put ur radio on a high station then press and hold the left. That should put you on manuel sreach

I exchanged my factory deck on a 2003 expedition for a JVC CD player. Only problem is that the sound is stuck

@ a certain level and will not change. Is this a wiring problem or a hardware issue? Also whats the best way to connect two ends of the separate wires? Example Vehicle Power Wire to Deck Power Wire. Is twisting the 2 together still the preferred method?

Fitting a JVc cd player in a Fiat Multipla?

Seems fairly straight forward as its just a plug in to the back of the unit and I know how to fit the casing and the fascia plate but concerned about earthing it properly. Any advice gratefully received, cheers.


A: Halfords will sell you a nice adaptor for £15, which will change the Fiat wiring across to standard ISO.

If you need to find the earth, you'll need to find which wire, (WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED!!) has continuity to the cars body.
