A: You are adjusting the Low-Pass filter. Basically it is the cross-over. The setting dictates at what level you would like the subwoofer to begin reproducing sound. You have to verify what your receiver is set at. The receiver should also have a subwoofer cross-over. You can use either one. If you set the cross-over at anything other than maximum on the receiver, set the sub to max. And vise versa if you select a specific point on the sub cross-over.
