I have old recordable MiniDiscs, each about 3-5 years old. The brands and level of quality include: Memorex MD 80, TDK 74 MD-SG, Maxell MD Gold, and Sony color discs. I want to take all the audio and convert into mp3 format. I'd like to know what steps to take to make this happen.
A: I don't believe there's a clean answer to this. Your best bet is probably to run the line out (or headphones) to the RCA in-jacks on your computer. Use Audacity or some other recording software to record it. Unfortunately with this method, you're going from digital to analog and back to digital. However, you'll eliminate any issues with copy management issues. Unless you created your minidiscs from an analog source, the digital files on the minidisc are not transferrable...

You may try DVD Cloner, it can help you copy DVD to another blank DVD (also supports mini camcorder DVD to computer), my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well. I downloaded it from here
