A: If the sound card has a digital output...and your reciever is Dolby 5.1 capable, then all you may need to do is get a cable that takes the Digital output from the card and run it into the DIGITAL input of the reciever.Just make sure the card has the capability of outputting the 5.1 bitstream. Even better yet, Creative makes a little offboard expansion card that gives you standard Toslink and Coax digital outputs.
