when i play a dvd all speakers work, but when playing PS3 or television i only get sound in the 3 aforementioned speakers. I have an optical cable hooked up from home theater to TV. I went into menu accessed sound test and all speakers worked. Also tried setting speakers up in menu(settings for small, full etc) but that did no good either...Thanks!
A: When a HDTV receives its video and audio over a HDMI cable, it will ONLY pass 2 ch audio out its digital audio optical port. If your PS3 and cable or satellite service are connected via a HDMI cable, then that is your problem. Instead, use a fiber optic cable direct from the cable box/satellite receiver and another fiber optic cable from your PS3 to a TOSLINK Selector Switch and then run a fiber optic cable from this switch to your lone digital audio fiber optic input on the Samsung Home...

As long as your system has optical input.
Yes you can attach the AUDIO from the Blu-ray to the Samsung system.
To watch True 1080i from your Blu-ray player however, you need to connect the VIDEO signal directly from the Blu-ray player to your television with an HDMI cable. That is the only cable that will transmit true 1080i signal from the Blu-ray player to the TV.
If your TV is only capable of producing 720p, then you can connect the video any way you want; it won't matter.
