As far as installing XM in your car, they have a car kit, that plugs into a power outlet, & mounts wherever you want it to. I took mine to bestbuy & had it wired into the fuse panel, & had them mount the docking station for the radio. They did a professional job, all wires are hidden, it took just over an hour, & cost me $70.
As far as accessories, I bought the premium sound system(looks like a boombox), so I can play it in my house or wherever I want to!!!

Question about Sirius Satellite Radio accessories. Boombox or radio dock for TV stereo surround Hookup?

My boyfriend's birthday is next week and I have decided to get him a Sirius satellite radio and car kit. I want him to be able to listen to it at home too. So I was thinking about getting him the dock that he can hook into the TV speaker system. But he also plays xbox, using the surround sound speakers hooked up to the TV, so i figured he might like the boombox...so he could listen while like playing games and stuff, or maybe he wont want to?
The dock is also a lot cheaper than...


A: Well, I think you have your answer. If he wants to listen while playing video games, then the boombox is the way to go.

I don't know what your budget is like, but I would just spring for the boombox. It is more versatile too, since you can take it outside and other places.

I am considering asking for a satellite radio for christmas, but i was wondering if it is worth buying the radio and all the other accessories on top of paying the monthly subscription. Also, is XM or Sirius better? Do you think I should buy satellite radio?


A: I used to own a Xm because my dad was a huge baseball fan and Sirius did not have MLB, however I think Sirius is better overall. It has more music channels and the radios are not as expensive. Overall, we were not too satisfied with the radio because it stopped working after a while, and we ended up not really using it as much. If you are going to be traveling in the car long distances, a satelite radio is a good idea because it wont loose reception.
