portable keyboard?

Q: i want to buy a portable keyboard (yamaha psr-213)

but does a portable keyboard act as a workstation and midi controller?

in other words can i record for example strings and then play it back and add drums then play it back and add brass and such and then save it on to the keyboard.

and am i able to make hip beats mostly dirty south style beats with it?

also can i plug it into my laptop and use fruity loops with it just like a...

A: Most electronic keyboards will function just find as a midi controller, but not really as a "workstation"

Meaning there won't be any controls that you can use to control your program directly on the keyboard.

If you want a keyboard that will save your work, it will be very expensive, this yamaha will not do that.

But you can connect it to fruity loops, and you can make music but fruity loops isn't that great of a program, try...

Hi, I have a sony ericsson W300i and i text a lot, i wanted to see if there is a small portable keyboard available for this phone. i live in canada , toronto. Ive seen it for other phones, but havent seen 1 for this phone yet, does any1 know if they have it and where i can get it from? itd help me a lot wid texting, and no i dont like getting a blackberry, i hate them lol. thanks guys


A: i'm not sure if sonyericcson has one, i only know the one for nokia phones that you can connect thru bluetooth

Stowaway keyboard 2: Folded up

I want to get immediate feedback from my Yamaha keyboard when it is plugged into my computer. As in, when I hit a note, it instantly shows up on a sort of digital sheet music. Is there a program for this?

Stowaway keyboard 4: Unfolding, stage 2

I'm looking for a wireless keyboard to use with me new AT&T Tilt, I would like for it to be able to fold (because I am going to be using it in school), and 100% compatible with the AT&T Tilt. I know the phone already has a slide out keyboard, but I want a full size one. Thanks in advance!

i want a new keyboard!!

i want a new keybord!! the one with 88 keys like a real piano.. weighted keys.. and everything lol.. with pedals and stuff..
if u were wondering why not get a piano instead?yeah i will and i wish i could. but it is so expensive.. if i had enough money.. or suddenly get rich,i'll get a grand piano! but then u still need space.. hmm.. maybe i'll leave that "owning a grand piano dream" for later when i get a stable job, big house ahahhaha..

but for now, i need a keyboard. its sad. i can't play like i used to. my fingers get all stiffed. i can't play anymore fast songs. even thought just simple slow pop songs, i couldn't get it perfect. i played it outbeat and irregular speed.. ITS WEIRD!!! so sad.. sometimes when i get home i really want to play.. but i sucked at it and get fed up. i feel that it is a big waste. after all the learning, used to practice at least 2 hour a day, dad spending money sending me to piano classes. it's a waste.
actually i already have a keyboard. and it is in my room now. a yamaha PSR-215which look like this.

this little friend of mine has been with me since i was 7 years old. i'm almost 20 now.. how many years since? you do the calculations yourself =P
my dad bought it for me when i just started learning piano. he thought i was going to learn for fun. so he think that buying a piano is not necessary. what if i quit halfway? then it would be a waste. plus piano isn't cheap stuff. so i continued using this keyboard until grade 5 then only he bought...
