PA systems ?

Q: I have a CB with a PA option but i don't want to install the entire thing to use it. So I was wondering do they sell just PA system sets? Or do you HAVE to have CB to use one?
Looking to use this in a vehicle!

A: The options are endless. If someone wanted a PA the last thing I'd ever think of would be to use a CB.

Search for PA System or Car PA System if that's what you want.

Are airport PA systems cabled or wireless operated and can their circuits be used to control other devices?

Can existing pa systems at airports and stadiums and other places be adapted and used to control a direct paging/tracking system to find missing passengers and also to connect other control rooms to eachother (like broadband) to improve security at airports and stadiums on ferries and cruise liners? For example can we connect computers and wireless transcievers to speaker cables and create a whole new security or paging system for airports and other places. Sleeping passengers, drunk, ill...

Recently I tried connecting my MP3 player to my PA system, it worked but the quality was not good at all. I need the PA system for a large audience. Can anybody tell me why is the quality not good when the MP3 played on PA system and explain how I can overcome it.


A: Two things can cause your PA to sound bad;

(1) You need to keep the volume of the MP3 player at a fairly low level. Your PA system will do the amplification. If you have your MP3 player's volume to the point where the audio gets even slightly "clipped", this distortion will get amplified by the PA system

(2) You need to go into a "line" input on your PA system. If you are using a MICROPHONE input, even a very low volume out of your MP3...

Seriously, it's so annoying. Nobody wants to hear you repeat names/announcements over and over again. It's especially bad if you're unfortunate enough to go to a school where a student does announcements.
