Cassette Player Adapter
Q: My '93 Toyota Corolla has a cassette player, and it's gonna take me a while to save up to replace it with a CD player unit. So I'm thinking of using a cheap cassette adapter temporarily and I just wanna know how good the sound quality is
BTW, don't even recommend an FM transmitter, cuz that's out of the question and I've had really bad experience with them
What did I say about FM transmitters...thumbs down...every single one that I've bought has really...
A: It won't sound great but it will work. I have no idea what the guy above is going on about, I love my modulator. It's very clear.
If you have an MP3 player you might consider this...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-chFB4b4frZH/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=142FMMOD01
It's not wireless.
It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on,...

When I insert the Cassette adapter into my Car stereo player it keeps on coming out by itself. What should I do?
the cassette player in my 97 mazda 626 wont stop switching sides when i use my mp3-cassette adapter. i think it does this because it doesn't detect any sound but i can hear the music clearly when the player is on side a-then on side b it sounds muffled..anyone know what i should do?
In this day and age of iPods and MP3 players, the idea of having an in-dash cassette player may seem kind of quaint. However, for those of you have a large cassette collection, you can get great deals on in-dash players, and there actually quite a few options to choose from.
The Boss Audio C3040 In-Dash Auto-Reverse Cassette Receiver, for example, is a great low-cost indash cassette player with advanced features such as a fully detachable front panel, 30 radio station presets, AUX and mobile video input, and balance and fade controls.
For those of you looking for a more full featured in-dash player, you’ll want to check out the Pioneer FH-P4200MP In Dash Player. This versatile in-dash player features support for CDs and MP3 players, in addition to cassette tapes, and is XM satellite radio enabled. No matter what format your music’s in, this smart player will let you take it on the road.
If you aren’t quite looking to get such an advanced music system, but still want to enjoy music from your MP3 player in your car, then a cassette adapter might be the perfect solution for you. Cassette adapters are designed to work with iPods and other MP3 players that feature AUX output, and can allow you to play your favorite MP3s through any in-dash cassette player.
With all these great music options to choose from, you should be rocking out in your car with your cassettes in no time!

Scale of 1-10...maybe a 6 or 7....better than a FM modulator though.
With the item liste below you'll still only get sound quality as good as FM....80-10k maybe. Cassette adapter will get you about 60-15k.
It will sound good enough especially since you are playing it through your stock stereo plus they are cheap.
it gets the job done
Crappy. The next step up would be an FM transmitter. It's still not euphonious, but for just a few dollars more, you'll get much better sound. I'd recommend a brand you trust. And as a general rule, the more you spend, the more satisfaction.
