FM Transmitter?

Q: I cant decide if i should really get a FM transmitter for my ipod nano 3g. They seem a little pricey and im ok with a radio. But sometimes i would really like to listen to my own music. So is a FM transmitter worth it, even though they are expensive?

A: I love me old one but yes they are expensive. Wait for a good deal either in a store near you or online and buy one. Don't cheap out though because the cheapr the quality the poorer the range and sound quality.

I'm not sure we share the same definition of "expensive" though.....I didn't find it so.

How good is the FM transmitter for mp3 players on accord?

So I have 2005 Accord 4door EX, and since it does now come with audio in, I am tempted to buy a FM transmitter recommended by people on yahoo so I can hook my mp3 player (not ipod) to the transmitter and then hook transmitter to cigarrete port. I've been getting good + bad feedbacks, any opinions here?


A: I have an '03 Accord EX-L and I use a monster cable FM transmitter and I think it works pretty damn good (I've tried three other FM transmitters). It hardly has static, and if you have a little you can find another station that's free. You (2003-2005 Accord owners) cannot get a factory installed auxiliary interface, it won't fit behind the radio. That would be your best bet, but I've researched and it's not possible. I really recommend getting a good (not $10) FM...

What is the best universal FM transmitter for automobiles?

The cassette deck in my car broke recently, and I won't be able to have it repaired for a while. I had been using a cassette adapter with my XM tuner and CD player.

My least expensive option will be an FM transmitter.
I hear that FM transmitters vary in quality. What is the best brand/model that will give me very good sound quality? And what is the price range?


A: There are basically two kinds of FM transmitters... hardwired and wireless. The wireless ones are the most problematic of the two. They tend to get all kinds of interference due to the limited power output regulated by the FCC. The hardwired ones also come powered and passive. The powered ones work the best DEI and Audiovox both make decent ones, but there are plenty of decent ones out there.
All that said, you can buy a JVC CD player with an auxiliary input for under $100 that you...

Considering Nuvi 360 or Nuvi 660. The latter has an FM transmitter as well as bigger screen size. Anyone have experience with either of these? What will the FM transmitter give me in the 660? Is it worth the extra $100+?
