Yes it does. I was one of the people that said Bull s*** when someone told me about the tone off quality cable. It is true, and addictive I recommend planet waves or monster cable. I use planet waves and the ones with the breakers are nice. Wouldn't want them at every connection but it beats turning the volume down plus guaranteed for life so you choice. Its like $30 bucks to get you started

it effects everything ,mono jack verses stereo and connectivity you'll hear difference when you move it slightly

absolutely ! a bad cord can pick up noise,it dont send the full tone to the amp, it shorts out at the least conveneant time,can cause you to shock your lips if you touch the mic with them.
a good cable is a wise investment. i buy ONLY Monster cables !
they are top quality,life time warranty,professional grade.
they have different lengths and type. the rock cable i perfer is about 30.00 but you will never have to buy another one !
