is it possible to make a digital voice recorder record a telephone conversation?

Q: I was just wondering. On ebay the price between a digital recorder that records voice and one that records voice and phone converstions is dramatic. Can a regular voice recorder record phone conversations without having to up the recorder next to the talk speaker on the phone?

they have a device at Radio Shack (and I'm sure in a lot of other electronic outlets) that plugs into the recorder's "mic in" port and then attaches to the handset of a telephone --- this does an incredible job at recording the conversations (by law it must be mentioned here--that the recording of private conversations without the express knowledge of the people being recorded is in some states considered illegal and one must check with local prevailing...

Is there a digital voice recorder that can be powered by a wall charger and not just batteries?

I'm looking for a digital voice recorder that doesn't necessarily have to be battery-powered. I've found lots that I like, but all only take batteries and that's not something I want to have to deal with forever. Any recommendations?

I have a Mac laptop, and I am looking for a digital voice recorder that will work with a Mac. I've read a lot of reviews and I'm worried that I won't be able to find one that will work. I can't afford really expensive. I'm still in college. Thanks!

My mother-in-law is looking for an inexpensive digital voice recorder. She needs one that allows relatively easy transfer from spoken word to CD. Any suggestions?


A: Any MP3 player with recorder will do the job. Once recorded, you just download onto your computer and burn onto a CD.
