How can I install a new CD/MP3 player in my car ?

Q: My Nissan Altima 2001 does not have a in-dash MP3 player (just has a CD player). I want to install a in-dash MP3/CD player in my car. Any instructions or informative sites will be helpful.

A: My suggestion is to have a professional do it. Sure it may be more expensive, but if you try to install it yourself and you don't know what you're doing, you might mess it up. I had a pro install my stereo/mp3 player in my car and it plays fine, along with my new speakers.

Go to best buy or circut city and the likes. If you buy one over 100 they will normally install it for free. and If not they will help you do it. its really easy!

I want to replace my current CD player with a receiver with mp3 capability. What specs should I look for to know what kind of quality I'm getting? How much should I expect to pay for a good one? Any suggestions on brands? Any other tips?

Question about using a portable cd/mp3 player in a car?

The CD player in my father's car broke, so for now I'm going to give him my mp3/cd player to use while he drives.

I'd like to hook it up so he can hear it through the car speakers. Would I better off with one of the cassette tapes that hooks in the cd players headphone jack OR these new wireless FM transmitters that I've only recently knew existed?

A: The Best thing to do is use the tape adapter since, it doesn't consume power avoiding signal distortion. For the FM transmitter via the antenna cable, I wouldn't use since there's always a little distortion from the radio station frequencies. I had one in the past for my ipot and for my portable CD player, and that always was a problem. They require to set the transmitter to certain frequencies in order to work. but your reception varies with your location in some places it...

How do you burn an MP3 cd that will play on a Blaupunkt cd player??

My wife got a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player in her 2004 Ford Focus - it plays regular CD's and even burned CD's (as long as I keep the burn speed down), but whenever I try to burn a CD of MP3's it won't play. I already know how to burn CD's, so don't waste time telling me how to go about that - but if you have a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player and have been able to get an MP3 CD to work let me know how you did it.

A: It should just plug and play. If its not have it looked at. Hate to say this but your best bet for repairing this is going to be the dealer.Must dealers have an exchange program. Hopefully yours may still be under warranty
