How do I use the Optimus Micro-35 Microcassette Recorder?

Q: I've got this ancient, dinosaur-technology of a recorder, called an Optimus Micro-35 Microcassette Recorder, and it's definitely too old for me to figure out. Can anyone explain to me how this thing works (how to rewind, FWD, what buttons, etc.)

A: Double back arrow = rewind, double forward arrow = fast forward, single forward arrow = play, square = stop, red dot = record, two rectangles = pause.

What is the best Microcassette Recorder to record lectures?

Maybe something that records clearly and can be played back loudly. A product that has overall quality.


A: Go for a digital recorder instead. Lots of good ones available with options for adding memory cards, built-in MP3 players, and USB download to computer for archiving/internet distribution (e-mail, sharing web site).

Here's a link to Circuit City's offerings -- I'm sure they're available at Best Buy and probably Staples and Office Depot...

It is a Panasonic RN-402 voice activated. I puchased it in l995, but have used it very little. The left "spindle" won't turn to rewind tape. Thanks.


A: Forget about it , go digital. Much more convenient.: Smaller, clearer sound, no tapes which are harder to find, and more recording space.

How do I record from a microcassette voice recorder to my computer(MP3)? I need this for court, Please help?
