I have a radio shack speaker selector, I've hooked my ceiling speakers into it; now I'm trying to hook up a satelite radio that has an RCA connection. I'm a real novice at this but I didn't think it would be complicated.

A: simple- first look at the speaker selector backwards-it is made to switch between 2 sets of speakers with 1 reciever , and you want to switch between 2 receivers and 1 set of speakers

first, take a short rca cable and cut in two- once cut, you will notice there are two wires in there-the inside one is positive the ouside one is negative- strip off the insulators taking care to leave enough on the center conductor so that it doesn't short out on the outside conductor, attach...

but i would like a radio with an aux input, i have been offered a radio with an aux input, but it has no rca's to the subwoofer, could i take a feed from one of the rear speaker leads ? or would that upset things

A: No you can't run a sub from the speaker output, at best you'll only get about 50w RMS from it, which is why a sub always requires an amp via phonos.

i have a 200o renault megane with its factiry radio. i need to know how to connect a amp to it when it doesnt have any rca leads?

A: most amplifiers have high inputs. it's a little plug with 4 wires coming out of it. wire this to your stereo and plug it into the amp, have enjoy your music. (as well as supplying power to the amp, and connecting the amp to the speakers)
